ooh! Thanks for posting that! I love them. I am super paranoid about candles as my mom in law's house burned down because of one on Christmas Eve and I would have to remove them while burning the candles but I think they are so so pretty and I can't wait to make some! You are so nice to share the pattern:)

Does anyone know if there is something that could be sprayed on the yarn to make it flame retardant?

Not that I am aware of, however if people trim the wicks and Don't leave them burning unattended, they should be safe. On the ones I made for me, the yarn ends below the rim of the candle, and by tying the tie in the 4th row of v - stitches it makes the scalloped edge lay below the rim too.
