UGH...pretty but definitely not me!!!

I FINALLY finished the "ruana" I had started way last year. The pattern was lacy and very pretty but when I tried it on I looked like I was wearing an "afghan".......... I was hoping more for a shawl/poncho look rather than the "back of the sofa" look. I am now "frogging it" and am checking out more traditional "sweater" patterns.

I know how you feel... I finished a sweater/car coat a few weeks ago, and it is too small! And HEAVY! I will probably end up frogging and using the yarn for something else.

I just finished making the bamboo shrug from Bernat's site - it's really pretty, but I am just not a shrug person. I guess that kind of thing happens.
