Hello everyone,

 

I'm from Missouri and am excited that I found this forum. I am branching out from crocheting Afghans to socks and hopefully dollies one day. I have been crocheting for years but would like to try some new things. For my next project I'm going to crochet socks to wear around the house. My grandmother used to crochet house shoes but I think I like the idea of socks before I jump into something more complicated like house shoes. The first new stitch I need to learn is called a foundation double crochet (fdc) stitch so if I cannot find any threads relating to this I will make a post for help. I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Hi there and welcome. Good for you for trying socks. I have oodles of single baby booties that don't match. At this point I don't do pairs of anything (the booties were hard enuf!) so I'm impressed about the socks.
