Thanks!

The pattern came from Leisure Arts Quick and Cozy Afghans, I don't recall the pattern name right now and I've loaned the book out :( It was done in red/white/blue in the book.

Ironically, the pattern name is "The Red, White and Blue".

Yours are lovely in fact I like the look of yours better. Not as bulky. Did you use 2 yarns as called for in the pattern?

Yes, that's it!!

I did use 2 strands of yarn. The top one was done in red heart super saver and the bottom in walmart brand worsted weight. Due to the hook size they really work up quickly.

Now that's a surprise- didn't know Wal-Mart had their own brand of yarn! Ya' learn something new every day!

I've marked the pattern in this book. I didn't care for it before I saw yours but am inspired to make my To Do List grow again. :haha

Thanks everyone!

I believe the colors were:

soft white

warm brown

dark sage

but I made it some time ago, I'll check my stash when I get home tonight and make any necessary corrections. They are all red heart super saver economy size.

Here are some links for patterns with similar stitches:

this one is similar but I don't think the stitches include cluster stitches:

Sorry that's all I can come up with. If you are interested in the book "The Red, White and Blue" afghan is from, it's available at amazon.com. There are several other lovely patterns in it also. :hook

Okay, I checked and I was way wrong on the yarn colors I used!

Here's the real list.

Red Heart Super Saver - Lt. Sage

Red Heart Super Saver - Linen

Mainstays Home (walmart brand) - Soft Beige

and yes, the book the pattern came from has lots of great patterns!
