Your opinion please

Our neighbors invite the neighborhood to an informal get together every St Pat's Day. I thought I would crochet some shamrock coasters as a little appreciation gift to the hostess. How many would be appropriate? 4, 6, until I run out of thread, until I run out of time?

hey susan raye, can i be your neighbor LOL:rotfl that is such a sweet thing for you to do and i am sure she will appreciate it very much. how many people are in their family? that might be a better amount if you have enough thread. don't forget to post pictures:yes vicki:wink

Thanks everybody. 6 seemed to be the most popular #, so that's what I'll go with. They're a retired couple, just the two of them so that should work out.
