Cotton hat w/ flower from Crochet World Apr 08

Just finished my 2nd one of these hats. The first one was white with a tan stripe and the flower was pink. My mom picked up the magazine at a Thrift store because she wanted me to make the hat for her friend going through chemo treatments. I can't decide if I like the flower on the front with the brim rolled up or on the side with the brim down so I haven't attached the flower yet. The pattern is very easy, I used Sugar n Cream. Working on one with bright colors now.

That is a really cute hat and your mom's friend should really like it. Is there a placement for the flower that will allow her to choose whether to have brim up/down or front/side? Since you're making it for someone else it would be hard to guess what she might like best.
