This is the spiral afghan I am making for my grandson (unfinished). It is in the colours of the footy team he supports (the Parramatta Eels). Its a really easy design to do (don't have to think about it, or count!)

Oohhhhhhhhh, I feel so silly! I've been thinking about this afghan ever since I saw your post. It's just so fun. I was in stores all weekend looking for a possible similar pattern.

 

Moments ago, I got on Amazon to buy the book and the cover looks familiar. Yup, I already OWN the book! I feel silly, but I'm so happy that I'll be able to make this!

 

I think your is great looking and I think it would make a fun gift for my teenage Godson. Thanks for posting your picture.
