Help on poncho sweater

Good morning all

I am making emerald moons poncho sweater, and I am stuck on row 4. Dog gone it! It says to ch3. dc, 2dc into same stitch, skip 2 st, 2 dc, ch1 into next space, **skip 1 stitch, 2dc ch 1 in next, skip 2 **repeat**. It just doesn't make sense to me, or maybe I have morning fog

Which part is confusing to you? Did you put the asterisks exactly like the pattern states? (that part IS a little confusing). Also, do you have a link to the pattern? Sorry for the questions but maybe I can help.

Nevermind, I found the pattern from another post. It looks like a shell consists of 2 dc ch1 2 dc in same stitch. And a 1/2 shell consists of 2 dc ch1 in same stitch (although you don't really ch1 in the stitch, so I can see how that would be confusing). The pattern is for a shell, then a series of 1/2 shells, then a shell at the end. Does that make better sense or have I just confused you even more?
