Thanks to all of you for your kind comments. Most of the hats were made with Caron Simply Soft, except the black one, which is Homespun (from Ocean State Job Lots). The pink brimmed hat is from Candi Jensen's 'Crochet Hats'. The green and violet hats were from this site:

The others were just sort of winging it, using the increase schedule from the above hat but using shell stitches. The black one i just kept going round and round with DC because I knew any stitches wouldn't show up with homespun anyway.

 

I've done about 15 of them in the past two months. They will be going to Danbury Hospital. I like making them because they are very portable and go pretty quickly, so there's a lot of instant gratification.
