Need help identifying a stitch, please.

This evening while doing laundry, I past by my mothers quilt holder and found one of the small blankets my grandmother made. She made it with a bunch of leftover yarn.... it's so nice.

 

Anyway, I cannot for the life of me figure out what the stitch pattern is. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

It looks like the Diagonal Box Stitch, or at least the idea of it.

 

If you have the Crochet Stitch Bible, look at the tulip stitch and the Ripple Stitch, those also look very close.

I believe that's called the box stitch. I did a search on google for crochet box stitch, here's one link www.crochetcabana.com/stitches/ltc- box-st-in-rows.htm - it looks pretty much the same. I will see if I can find more links.

Looks like a varient of the box stitch to me. Very pretty! What a treasure.

I saw this just the other day .. it is the diagonal box stitch but this pattern is adjusted to be worked side to side instead of on the diagonal. I will look for it and see if i can remember where i saw it.

I also remembered one or two that's not worked corner to corner but end to end; and I believe this is one:
