Pot Belly

Hi there :cheerI enjoy crocheting miniature bears and i would like to make one with a pot belly, but i don't really know how i would do that, if anyone could help with this i would be really grateful.

if you start with the belly you could start like you would a hat increasing until it was the size you want then go onto the body.

also if you outlined the belly with some smaller thread it would show up a little more.

Assuming that you will be starting at the neck region and coming down towards the tummy, you can decide where the "front" is and just add two or three increases in that portion. On most ami you would only need a couple extra stitches to make it rounder.

 

After a few rounds of your extra stitches, just decrease by the same number of stitches to emphasize the roundness in that area.
