Place Mat First Thread

This is my first thread project. I'm very happy with them and found out that thread is very addictive. I made 4 and might make a couple more of these between things. I finished in January. This pattern is from an old book my mom brought to me. A "how to book". Price on it was .29 cents or something like that. So it's old.

Yes, it was motifs and each one took about 1/2 hour to do. After I learned the pattern without looking at the book all the time it went faster. My first one is bigger than the others.

Good golly, my first thread project was a bookmark. A wonky, lopsided bookmark. Those are beautiful! I'd be afraid to eat on them. With my luck, I'd spill salsa all over them. Patty

I started out making them for tea time. Now I think we will spill tea all over them! But like you said maybe I'll have to use blech some day. I worked to hard on them not to use them.
