New and improved potholder

I have been making these little potholders, some in regular oven-size, some in a smaller, microwave-size. The one on the left is a double-thick potholder.

(One row in front loop only, next row you stitch through back loop and free loop of previous row)

This method makes a very stiff, sturdy fabric which I am planning on using for bags and baskets.potholders.jpg

I love those but lost the link. Could you share it again, please? You did a really great job. They will go great in my Kitchen/Bath swap package.

I like these! Are they the kind you put your hand into? Are they your own design? They sure look better than my thin Stuffmart potholders!

The original pattern is on the chezcrochet.com, my version is open so you can put your hand into it.

Using a small(er) hook and either doubling the yarn or doing the stitch I described above, you can have a very sturdy potholder.

I also start w. a longer chain.
