Pi Scarf

It's my Pi scarf--the number of rows in each color section corresponds to a digit in Pi--3.1415 etc etc.

It's done with Vanna's yarn.

I've never heard of doing that to figure out the striping sequence. That turned out very pretty.

So, I've got to ask, what does the row of spaces stand for? And, what did you use to represent the decimal?

In this scarf I didn't represent the decimal--the row counts are just 3 1 4 1 5 etc. The first one I did several years ago I did use a row of bobbles or puffs to represent the decimal, but after finishing the scarf I felt they interfered with the digits, so I haven't put a decimal in since.

The skipped row is for the digit 0!

The scarf is awesome! I've been wanting to do something like this in crochet since I saw the knitted pi shawl projects on ravelry.
