To tell you how much yarn I have I would have to pull it all out of it's respective hiding places.... if I can remember where all of them are.... suffice to say, there is NO SUCH THING as TOO much yarn... or ENOUGH yarn for that matter....lol

I sure it will become my children's inheritance

hmmm i recently started getting them square milk crates from the resturant I meet my Crochet freinds at each week.. the just throw them away so i asked them to start saving. So i have about 4 or 5 LARGE boxes still unsorted.. plus 12 or so crates with the yarn neatly organized.. and room for about 15 more crates.

I don't have nearly as much as i wish i had.. I would like to have enough yarn so when I see a project I wanna do I don't have to go buy yarn.. I'll alread have it on hand... I try to buy at least 10 skeins a month to add.. Depending on what project i'm gonna work on. I'll have to buy alot more soon as I'm doing the (sp) Chathridal rose afghan soon. just waiting to get my pattern. so i can see what to buy. :).

I have all mine organzed in my bedroom closet wich i dubbed my Craft closet. 90% of the closet is dedicated to my crafting (sewing, beading, crochet, ect) the other tiny corner clothing LOL my goal would be to have all shelf space used up by a crate. and that crate be stuffed with yarn.. then have the Empty totes that once held the yarn that is now in crates.. to be REFILLED with yarn lol..(space bags sound like a good idea ) lol

I have about 15 bins worth. I had a little bit more when I moved in with my fiance but he convinced me to get rid of some since I wasn't crocheting very much at the time so I got rid of the ones I didn't like as much. I donated some to some women who were crocheting for charity.

Ah, ha, ha!!! My estranged hubby came over to bring me a few things, and he brought me 5 more bins. Gosh, what could I use those for? Tee hee hee!!!

I've still got, oh maybe, 70 balls of cotton not put away. That will probably fill a bin. And 6 lbs of Pound of Love. There's another bin. You ever see how big those Pound of Love skeins are? Jeez. They're like baby watermelons. And I've still got lots of Red Heart not binned yet. Never fear, I will get it all organized. Really.

Man, here I was thinking my three Rubbermaid bins was a bad stash...

I do believe you've all given me the perfect excuse to buy more. I need to catch up! :yes

I think I'm in the same boat. LOL.

Of course my bf tells me to look at it this way.... Define a lot. Since if you ask 50 people to define a lot of yarn, you'll get 50 different answers. Therefore there can never be too much yarn because no two people agree on how much is a lot.

Just to let you all know, my fondest dream is to be able to have yarn delivered right to my door by the truckload twice a year. That would be my dream come true.

A six foot tall bookshelf stuffed full.

A 5 foot tall cabinet full.

An over-the-door shoe rack (cloth/mesh) with a skein in each pocket, which is 24 skeins right there.

Plus several plastic bags hanging around with yarn stuffed in them.

Oh, and a nice sized storage ottoman stuffed full of yarn.

I bet you keep that partridge in a pear tree far away from your yarn stash, don't you?!?:yes

When I moved last January, I started documenting my stash in Ravelry. I'm not even halfway through recording everything yet, but the yardage currently adds up to 24 miles. Is that alot? LOL!!!

I should have my hubby check out this thread the next ime he says that I have too much! I only have two reusable shopping bags, and 1 cardboard box half full of yarn. Of course, tht is because the majority of my stash is at my mom's, too many states away to go and get it:) My SIL has dibs on that yarn, and claims to have used most of it, but I think she missed a tote or two, as the projects she has described making from it don't add up to the yardage I know I had (at least a miles worth!)
