myname isn't on the list but when I was pm'ed by Tracy I said i would do one, didn't know about the flower idea until now :eek

Me, too! It looks like we'll have enough for 2 'ghans. I'll keep checking in for the final decision.

like I said - I have no idea what's happening behind the scenes. It's not the 'official' list - it's just everyone that replied to the thread so far.

I'm checking out sq's at CPC and there are my favs:

(I never look at squares - I had no idea there were so many beautiful ones out there.

Wow! You guys have been busy on this thread while I was asleep. I do sleep you know. I have updated post #1. I think you all are right in that 12" are too big when there are so many of us willing to make squares. I have been contacted in a pm by someone else on the list who is also making a comfortghan for Lea. We have decided that she is going to go ahead with her colour theme and we will go ahead with ours. So Lea will receive two hugs from the 'ville.

Anyone that doesn't have my pattern but is making one for Lea can PM me with your email address and I'll add you to the group. Since you're making it for Lea, you need not be concerned with also sending me a square as well.

As for the size of the afghan - I make a twin-sized afghan with my 8" daisy square with 40 squares. These also get an extra round on them before I join them, so if they were just being whipstitched together, they'd be a little smaller. It's still a very manageable afghan at that size. Even 48 squares would be a decent size with no extra round on them.

Wow!

The opportunity to contribute to a comfortghan AND get that cute pattern! :lol

OK - count me in!

What colors were decided? There was so much discussion I'm not sure.

Well I guess the cat is out of the bag now. I was trying to be sneaky and have been PMing people for the last 2 days about a ghan I have been organizing to surprise Lea. I now have about 20 villers who have stepped up to help. Lea may now know about this ghan but PLEASE don't spoil the surprise about the colors or anything else my group is doing on this post. I want to keep some element of surprise.

Lea - as you can see you are well loved by us all. :hug

..I have no idea what your talking about.... I don't see a thing....

... I doubt you folks will know how much this really really strengthens me... knowing that the drs are fighting this cancer with medical knowledge, prayer warriors are praying.... crocheters are fighting with hooks.... its a team.... and I am one very blessed woman to have the BEST team in the world!

Surgery is scheduled for Tuesday at this point although we are waiting for 3 test to come back... ( how much blood can they take from one person)....

I love you all... even though I have no idea what your talking about;)

Just to confirm - I got a thick head today - sinus problems -

We are doing 8" squares in pastel colors without or without flowers?

Border? How about White?

And Lea - You are loved!! Hang in there...this is just a minor inconvenience....you will be better before you know it and all this will be put far behind you!
