Lots of errors in an otherwise easy pattern. I can imagine how frustrating it must be to the designer to see so many typos creeping into a well thought out pattern. The errors are very easily rectified with a little help by way of the stitch count at the end of each row .

 

I made mine smaller ,to fit a 6-8 yr old . i used double strands throughout as instructed in the pattern. i finished the hat in just a couple of hours, so thats how easy it is.
