Dying to Dye!

Crochet Buffet

Recommended Posts

This past Sunday, the kids and I dyed some fisherman's wool.

We used Easter Egg color tablets.

They painted 3 skeins with orange, green, and purple.

When they dried, they were yellow, brown and pink. :think:think:think

It makes an interesting looking ball, now that it's all rolled up, but I hate that

there wasn't even a hint of green anywhere. It was a BRIGHT, almost lime-y green!

The kids had fun, so that's what matters, right? :lol

Jackie, after you went through the nuking process, did you check to make sure that no more colored fluid was coming out of the yarn? If not, the dye wasn't completely set and that could account for the color changes...
