Hat Help!

Question

So I'm in the process of making yarncat's Cheyenne; I get to round 13 and realize that something has gone terribly wrong... I know I crochet tight, so I went with a J hook and obtained the gauge in the beginning. From there, I don't know what I did wrong. Help me please!

I think I see what you are concerned about. My first thought was that yours was a tad shorter before the brim starts but that brim is really rather long so you may still be on track. (when I look closely)

What I would do at that point is to just do one more row working evenly if you want that extra length before the brim starts.

Yarncat's designs are very user friendly and can be adapted to suit you easily.

I still think you should have worked more rows evenly before beginning the brim part.

That is all that I see that isn't what you were expecting. your gauge does seem tight to me but I can't really say that fer shure.
