I have a couple of ripples I need to get finished. I can't pull them out now, but in a couple of weeks I can join in.

rippleaddiction:hi,

:welcome to Crochetville!!! This is a great place to meet other wonderful kind people and talented crocheters.

Would love to join your Ripple CAL. I need some encouragement to get this ripple done and then another one just like it. They are for my neice and her hubby. Ripples are my faves but other things have taken precedent so I have seemed to lose interest so hopefully this will give me the spark I need.:hook

My colors are dark brown, light brown, dark green, light green, 2 variegated colors...Brownberry and Surf and Turf. I am using TLC Essential. My neice picked out her own colors.

What are your colors and what kind of yarn:yarn are you going to use?

Am excited to hear about others progress. I am about 3/4 done with the first afghan and will immediately start the second one.:greenflag

The pattern I am using is "SusanB's Easy Ripple Afghan."

to hear see that you want to ripple along with me. I went through my stash last night and pulled out red heart burgundy and warm brown and I am going to use TLC choco cherry. Hopefully I will get a good start on it today since I'm home with my daughter and don't really have any plans other than house cleaning and laundry. Can't wait to see your progress and show you mine!!

Happy Rippling!

I am in, I have one on the hook in a UFO pile and I am probably going to make one for my sister but can't decide on the perfect one yet. For some reason I have had a hard time deciding. A CAL will help me keep going.

Is it worth buying the ripple book? I keep meaning to find it "live" so I can decide if I want to order it. Maybe the library will have access to a copy...hmmmm

awesome...glad to hear...I am soooo the same way when it comes to deciding which one and what color....sometimes it takes me days to finally decide. I just broke down and bought the book a couple weeks ago, I do like it, wish they showed full size afghans in each pattern (because I have such a hard time deciding...lol) but I think worth the buy...especially if you have intentions of making lots of ripples!!!

I'm in! I finished my first ripple in December and love them! I will be making one with my favorite colors, not a particular theme, just ones I like. I had a good selection of colors, but since I am allergic to the yarn, I think I will be exchanging them for another brand, so my colors will probably be way different. As soon as I get that I'll post here.

I've been wanting to do a ripple CAL but never thought to start one. :idea

Help!!! Need some advice. Here is the ripple I started and I'm not sure the colors are right! I always do this though, start and then second guess everything from the pattern to the colors. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

BTW, sooooooo excited to see how many people want to ripple together....makes it so much more fun!

I'm in! Here is what I got so far:

Rippleghan.jpg

I'm 38 rows in. I got the pattern from the newest Crochet Today! Issue. The Pattern is called 'Ocean Waves Ripple Throw' but mine is called "Gothic Waves Ripple" Me and my goth friends took a vote on what to call mine and we came up with that name. You can't see it but where each color starts new it is worked in the back loops to make it look like waves.

Pretty blanket, Aelita!

I have my yarn now. I am using ILTY in yellow, grape, peacock, pink (a very pale pink), and hot rose. My plan is to make it 40-45 inches wide and work til I run out, ending on an even pattern, hopefully.

I would love to join the ripple a long.. I am picking up the yarn today for a spiderman ripple afghan. I had something else in mind but when my two year old saw the photo of it on the internet he could not contain himself. I will put some pictures up later on tonight.

I want in, too! This will be my first CAL. :clap I've already started my first ripple and I'll try to link to the picture (another first here at Crochetville).

I am boring....my ripple is the same color....at least it is variegated. :shrug Aw well, I believe the giftee will like it.

Paton Decor ripple afghan

I've done several ripples in one color. And sometimes those are the ones that are best received. This is one I gave my parents for christmas, just a simple 12 point round ripple done in Simply Soft Brites in Rose Violet. 2 strands and a J hook.

Ooooh...can I ask where you got your pattern? The one I have has an open center, but I like the closed better. I never thought of doing one all in one color, either! Love it!
