I've had a couple of requests, so here's how I do it:

 

Start with any length chain(the ones on my scarf are 20ch) then 3sc into each chain and viola! It begins to curl! Post your stuff!!!!

The scarf is really nice by itself, but adding the curly q's is wonderful. I have been doing piggy tail holders for my granddaughter, never thought to make a scarf to go with them.More on the to do list now.Thanks for sharing!!!!!!
