My first lace project

I just finished blocking my Halcyon Scarf (from Winter Knitty). I made some mods to accommodate using a thicker gauge yarn. I left out the ribbon and then only did one center repeat instead of the 3 called for. I used Blue Sky Alpacas "Melange" in a beautiful purple heathered colorway.

I started it just after the new year and maybe got to knit about an hour or two every day. So I'd say about 2 weeks off and on

 

I knit it to 62" but once I blocked it, it became an 80" scarf.

That is beautiful...and you are an inspiration. The reason I picked up my needles again is to learn so lace knit. I found a pattern for a wedding shawl I want to make.
