Another one-skein

This time with possum merino yarn that I bought in New Zealand. I made it for a friend of mine who wrote a grad school recommendation for me. She's got reddish-blonde hair, so the colors are perfect for her.

Possum...?

 

Yep. They're marsupials (like kangaroos), but they look like big rats. They're kind of a pest in New Zealand, because they eat all of the native birds that are endangered. So strange as it seems, buying possum products is considered good for the environment over there. And it's really soft and fuzzy.
