just bumping this thread up ann, I sent you a pm about my donation, everyone, now is the time to get busy for the fall!!

Thanks for bumping up the thread Katie! Yes it is that time of year when more people think of making scarves, etc. Just so everyone knows though, we collect all year long!

Thank you Katie and Pat for ""manning" the thread for me.  I'll ask again please if the "regulars" wouldn't mind checking in and answering/helping out any newbies if I'm not around.  I've been dealing with health issues again and trying to stay out of the hospital (spent a couple days there earlier this month).  Hugs to all and yes, it's time to really think about warming up our hooks and making those scarves!  Let's send some warm hugs to survivors.

Take care of yourself Ann, we will keep an eye on the site.  I do have a couple made, trying to couple more before I send them out.

You guys are the best!  Thank you so much for your help.  I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. :hug

Hope you are well Ann, prayers are being said and sent!!

Thank you so much.  I appreciate the prayers.  Today is the first day this week that I've felt up to checking in. Seems I now have an infection in my abdomen around the feeding tube area and since I'm allergic to most antibiotics they want to see if it will go away on it's own.  Trying to keep my spirits up.  Seeing your message has brightened my day :hug

just popping in to say hello and hope you are on the mend

Hi anne, just checking in, hope all is going well!!

Thank you everyone.  You are all so kind to be thinking of me.  My days are up and down.  I saw a new dr last week (a motility specialist) and he has scheduled a capsule endoscopy for me next week.  I don't know much, just that I go in one day and swallow a capsule and go back the next afternoon and they take an x-ray to see how far it has travelled.  I believe it is also taking pics while it is in me!  We'll see if this leads to any help, fingers crossed.

Take care all of you and stay warm!  This autumn weather has settled in, brrrrr!

sounds promising Ann,hope all goes well!!

Thanks Katie, but now they have decided that my system is too bad for me to swallow the capsule. They are afraid it will get stuck, so we are back to sit and wait, try a new formula if the insurance will ok it and see how I am in 6 months! I don't know if I want to laugh or cry, so I do both, lol.  Have a great weekend and hug the ones you love!

oh gosh ann, its hard for me to accept that you are not feeling well, you are always so up and optimistic, that sometimes I forget your current problems. With that said, I must commend your stamina, faith, strength, and determination, not to mention your patience, and tolerance with all you face every day, my thought and prayers include you every day....Stay strong ann!

Thank you so very much Adele and Katy.  It is my dear friends like you that keep me going.  Especially now that my sweet husband is out of work facing his own medical demons.  Sometimes it just feels like it will never end.  But we must keep on going and keep our heads held high.  I know that I am never alone.  :hug
