Oh this hat and I have been through so much together :) I bought the pattern last year and tried to make it and failed. I chose a terrible yarn, linen, that was too hard to work with and I was pretty new to crochet at the time. never got very far and often thought about my hat that never was. Last week we decided we are going to St. Bart's next month and the first thing I thought was "I need to make that bucket hat!":lol

 

This time I used Tahki cotton classic and had no problem at all. The pattern is written better than any I've seen. After each row she has tips to help you through the pattern, it's great!

Thanks everyone. I'm really happy with how it turned out and am looking forward to wearing it on our trip.

 

I'm trying to fight the urge to make another one, striped. I have sooo many projects goign right now that I really should start yet another. Although, the hat only took 2 days.......
