Well thanks to this site, I'll need to add several new shelves to my library just to hold all the new books and patterns I've been ordering since I found you guys! LOL!!!

And I have projects to keep me occupied for quite a few years, I'm sure!

Hi Ladies:

It sure looked like what I did, the only thing is, that pattern was done using the afghan hook, I used a regular crochet hook size 6.5, and I crocheted in the back and front loops.......it was so easy, I am gonna write out what I did.

That basketweave pattern is also smaller, mine was done larger, mine was 14 FPDC and 14 BPDC, for 10 rows I think.

Gotta write it out!!!!! my girlfriend has the book and she told me what to do and I did it, she did not give me a copy of the pattern, she probable thought I would share with a lot of people cause I always do!!!!!!!!:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol and I also think it is in one of Vanna's books.

Thank you Ava for responding to this post...it saved me alot of headache from doing the wrong pattern! And I'm very happy to hear you used a regular crochet hook! I have that Vanna book so I will look up the pattern. I wish I could just "wing" it like you do but I HAVE to have something on paper in front of me! Your work and also Crochetingfool's work is absolutely stunning!

I'm the guilty one.

If any of you can just wing a pattern like Ava and I can, you will be able to re-create this basketweave using the directions that Ava gave you.

If not and you need a pattern the original pattern comes from a Vanna White book, I think it is her A to Z book. Although I have memorized the pattern I haven't looked at the book in a while.

here is a link to the one I created in 2006
