Rugged Mountain Scarves and Mittens

As usual, I can't say enough good things about Lisa's terrific patterns at Crochet Garden (http://www.crochetgarden.com/). I absolutely love her Rugged Mountain collection of hats, scarves, and mittens. Of course, I love cables, so these patterns are a dream come true for me.

I made my mother the Woodridge scarf and mittens for Christmas and I'm working on the hat now. The yarn is Wool-Ease in hunter green (not sure if that's the official color name) and I used an H hook.

Here' the Stonehedge scarf pattern. I used Shetland Chunky yarn in dark brown. I wouldn't use the yarn again--too thick and heavy for this pattern.

Once again, I don't know how to make the Flickr images clickable, so if anyone has any tips for me, I'd love it! Here's the link to the photo page so you can see close-ups if you wish:

I have those patterns too. :hook Aren't they just the most comfortable mittens that you have ever worn. The patterns are so easy to follow and have great pictures to help you understand some of the more complicated areas. Great job on all of them. :hook
