Magic stripe slippers

I have some Magic stripe in Denim stripe and I am making slippers. I have one slipper made and it is definetly thinner than my other slippers. Has anyone tried doing it with two strands? I don't have two balls handy to try it out. Any advice on working with this? The other thing is that I don't know if I should try to make them match. It's multi color of course. But I could try starting it somewhere the same. Or is it better just to work with whatever color is there?

If you need to try using your yarn double, how about finding the other end of the ball and doubling it that way. Saves buying another if you are not sure.
