Lena

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I would love to learn how to do thread crochet. Do you have any books or sites to recommend?

(I already know how to crochet with yarn)

Thanks!

Some Great advice there

Or if you are feeling adventerous - just get yourself a ball of #10 and #7 hook and jump right into a doily. There are tons of free doily patterns looming around.

If you can find some snowflake patterns, start with those. There are a good way to learn thread. (That was my first thread project many years ago)

They are small and quick and you don't have anything to lose if you mess up....just start over. Gauge doesn't matter and you don't have a lot of time/material invested while you are learning. Best of all this time of year you can use them for holiday decorations.

You should be able to find Leisure Arts leaflets with dozens of designs at a craft store, or you may be able to find free patterns online. Good luck!
