Is that broomstick lace?! I have a book with instructions on "how to", but I've never tried...was it difficult?

yep, it is broomstick lace. I did some short instructions on it on my blog. It was super easy and soooooooooooooooooo quick it was unreal!

How are you getting your broom part so long. I have been frogging all evening trying to get mine to look anything like yours. I have tried different yarn and hook sizes. Oh yes I love your work, I have two of your elephants ,two dogs,one meerkat. You are a great inspiration.

wow that is stunning. My nana used to do broomstick and it is something I would like to try.

You did a fine job on the scarf and looks like it will keep you nice and warm. Several years ago, I was learning to do the broomstick lace and I wanted a cape - so, designed my own. To do the lace, use a size 35 to 50 plastic knitting needle that is made for this. I still wear the cape to this day after 35 years. Who says handmade things don't last!!!
