Christmas Bulb Hot Pad pattern......looking

SHERYL

Question

:shrugI saw somewhere on the internet a pattern to make hotpads that looked like a Christmas bulb ~ it was a free pattern.

I did a search and found pattens for sale on Ebay, but I know this one was free, and didn't bookmark it - :bang - silly me.

Anyone know where it is????

I believe that this is what you are looking for....http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Ranch/4054/cldcph.htm. I know every year I do these for people and they love them. Hope this is what you need.

I actually think I like these better. Even though they have the black boarder around them.

The ones from Annies Attic today are made in rounds it looks like, which is fine. These look like they are made in one 2 pieces (for potholder, 1 for dishcloth) in rows.

Oh on Annies attic they say use SS yarn, not cotton. I read somewhere for hotpads/potholders you want cotton? I've made them in ww yarn and people say they melt (I rarely do cooking but give these away as gifts)....

Hi, does anyone have the pattern from Annie's pattern of the day? I don't know how I missed that one. (that is, if it's ok to ask for it).

There is a sticky at the top of the board about asking for the free patterns:

http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=20785

A lot of time the patterns are from http://www.freepatterns.com/ in which case we can give you the link.

Some, like yesterday's are not there so the best we can do is tell you what book/magazine to find it in and if it's not available anymore where online to buy the book/magazine such as eBay.

This pattern can be found in:

Tis the Season to Crochet, Pages 16, 22-23

I had got that book when it was offered as a trial then you pay later and I sent it back because I really didn't like it. But I did end up copying the pattern for the bulb.

How about this:

Looking at the Ebay picture and these I think the difference is how they are sewed together.. The ones pictured here are wrong sides together and sc around in black. The ones on ebay are right sides together and whip stitched, turn right side out and press. I am still looking but not sure what I can find.
