Question
crosette
I'm working on EmeraldMoon's poncho sweater patter in size 4/5. At round 17 where you start on the armholes it's looking a little funny.
Rnd 17: slip stitch to center of shell, Ch 2, dc, ch 1, 2dc in ch 1 sp.** ch 1, 2dc in next ch 1 sp ** repeat till after you have done 8- 1/2 shells Now
skip 13 shells(armhole) 2dc,ch 1 in next ch 1 sp into the 14th space after you have skipped the 13-1/2 shells repeat to center shell, do full shell again** Repeat from** to last shell, join..
First, where it says:
skip 13 shells(armhole) 2dc,ch 1 in next ch 1 sp into the 14th space after you have skipped the 13-1/2 shells
If I skip 13 shells then I should be working in the 13th space and not the 14th space...right? Because if I work into the 14th space then I'll have skipped 14 shells.
Ok, then where it says:
repeat to center shell, do full shell again** Repeat from** to last shell, join..
If I repeat from ** then I'm supposed to do 8 1/2shells after the full shell but on the other side (before the full shell) I have 11 1/2shells. So I just did 11 1/2shells and then did the other armhole and then worked to the last full shell. But now the front is different from the back and it doesn't lay flat. The back has 8 1/2shells on either side of the full shell and the front has 11 1/2shells on either side of the full shell. Is this right?
I'm pretty confused.
