2006 books: "old?" (mini rant)

Okay, maybe not just 2006, but I madeyalook Maybe it's just here, but everytime I find a good pattern book (thanks to the library, or someone's show and tell here--thanks y'all, my wish list groweth! ) that's not of the current year, *I CAN"T FIND IT* :pant I comfort myself saying they must have been so good they sold out, but sometimes I wonder. I have to go online to find them, and then a $5 deal isn't so hot when they heap on so much shipping that it costs more than the book did in the first place, had I seen it in the store! eeep
