Pink hat in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Hey guys! Check out my pink hat that I made in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. My godmother died of breast cancer in 1990 and she was only in her 40s.

Check it out on my blog: http://craftychristina.blogspot.com/2007/10/breast-cancer-awareness-month.html

I used a baby hat pattern and adjusted it to fit my head. Here's the pattern: http://hooked-on-crochet.blogspot.com/2007/07/o-baby-hat.html

What size hook did you use? The pattern doesn't say.

Thanks!

Duh. I meant to ask what size hook you would use for both ADULT and BABY sizes. The pattern doesn't indicate.

That is so pretty, I have just come back from the hospital visiting a very good friend of mine who had surgery this week. We were talking about hats and I said I would make her a few as sh now has to undergo chemo. that one looks so nice.

Thanks everyone!

The pattern didn't indicate any hook size at all, so I had to play with it alot. For an adult hat, I used a J, but I crochet very tightly, soif you crochet loosely you might want to go down a size. For a baby hat, I've used a F to make a 0-6 month and G to make a toddler hat.

Thanks, Christina. I'm going to give this a try. I'm hoping to participate in a craft show in November of 2008. I'll make this hat in pink with a matching scarf and donate the proceeds from the hat(s) and scarf(ves) to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation.
