Felted crochet mittens with ribbed inner cuffs

Here's an adaptation of the famous "Adult Mittens in One Evening" pattern.

Using variegated Lion Wool, I made the adult-size mitten, then felted it to obtain a child's size (shortening the cuff). Then, I made 2 ribbed inner cuffs and sewed them in.

Those look absolutely fantastic! And I love the color that you used. . Great job. . I am trying to figure out how to make gloves - without a strict pattern. But have only accomplished fingerless. I love the idea of mittens! Hmmmm? That may be my next project. You have inspired me.

As I mentioned, I shortened the original cuff, felted the mittens in the washing machine, then crocheted the inner cuffs (they are NOT felted), and sewed them into the finished mittens - fun!
