You can find the free pattern in the Crochetville original patterns section or

on my blog, A Whole Load of Craft.

The blanket uses an unusual stitch called adjacent double crochet, for

which I have put up a couple tutorials on my blog.

A big thanks to RoseRed, Super Granny and Riohnna who tested the pattern

for me!

I worked up this little number for a lady who works at the local grocery

store. (I live in a tiny town, so it's not that random, right?) Her little boy

just turned one, so of course I jumped. A reason to make a baby blanket,

yea!

I've had this Bernat Sweet Stripes for ages and it frankly was the softest

yarn I could muster from my stash in the largest amount. It is hard to rip

out if you make a mistake (of which I made many) and also splits a lot.

But it is a nice soft, cheap acrylic, so I can't complain.

Very cool! I love the Bernat Baby Coordinates Stripes. If I had the time, I'd test for you, but I'm going to be out of town the next two weeks on business. :sigh Let me know when the pattern goes up though, I know a few kiddo-s who'd like it.

I would love to test the pattern.. I'm making a lot of baby afghans for charity and need somme different patterns... I get bored if I have to do the same pattern over and over.. PM me if you want and I'll give you my address..

The way the colors mixed from the striping yarn looks really interesting. And I rather like your style of the star-ghan. I'm looking forward to seeing your version of it and maybe giving it a try. Excellent work!

That is gorgeous! I guess I can't test it now as everyone's asked already :D But I'll be making this when you have the pattern all ready to go. Absolutely awesome.
