Hello from Portland, Oregon

Recommended Posts

I've been reading this site for awhile but only registered tonight - because I have a question! I've just finished a baby round ripple and I used sport weight baby yarn doubled. It has really turned out beautiful. I now want to do something in WW yarn but the pattern I want to use calls for sport weight again. Should I use a larger hook? It calls for G. Any help appreciated, many thanks.

I don't know which pattern you are using but I did a RR using WW yarn and either a G or H hook and it came out fine and I believe I used a pattern that was originally used sport weight

BTW Welcome from your neighbor across the Mighty Columbia

Thanks to all for the nice welcome. I shall try out the WW yarn and an H hook and see how it goes. Got to finish a WIP first for my daughter. I made her an afghan and have stalled on the sewing of the squares! I think I'll pass on granny squares for awhile, especially as winter isn't far away!

Welcome!! Are you going to the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival this weekend?

No I don't think so. I saw it advertised but don't think it is for me.
