leave it to me to misread this simple pattern (and the simplest part of the pattern at that!)

it's so embarrassing, i'm not even going to tell you what i did... just have to ask a question.

at the point of tying the slip knot - how big is it? (4" across?)

I just finished one the other day. I'd say mine was about 5 inches across.

I made one today. It was between 4 & 5". I didn't finish my petals though. Could not get to them. Next time I am changing 2 things.

These changes may be nec. because I did not read the pattern right:lol

1) I am going to complete the rose before I make the back of the Poof.

2) I am going to start at the outer edge when I sc around the sl stitching. That way when I am making the scalloped petals, I am working from the center - out.

I completely agree with those changes to the pattern. I need to make another one to see if it will come out better than the first.
