'Smudge' the mini octopus

I was lucky enough to get to test this little guy for 'nutsaboutcrochet13'

 

I have to get busy and make him a buddy ~ 'Smudge' is lonely.

I used a 2.00mm metal hook (not sure what that is in US terms) and size 10 cotton.

He is about 1.25 inches high when sitting flat and 1.75 inches up on toes ~ do they have toes????
