Need wool help

A good friend of mine informed me the other day that I am to make her a new purse. She wants me to felt it, and wants it in "browns" But I can't seem to find a felt-able wool yarn that is in browns. At least not in my normal brands. I don't want to spend a whole lot on the yarn itself, and she wants a pretty good size bag. So I'd need a couple *or more* good size skeins.

Does anyone know of a good felting yarn, that's decent priced, and comes in browns? A variegated brown would work well too!:clap

SMiley's has Moda Dea Cartwheel for $1.50 per skein. One of the colors is Bronzeberry. It's 100% wool, doesn't say washable, so I think it would felt, but haven't had personal experience.

Elann has a couple of 100% wools on sale.

In Elann you can click Products, then Yarn, then at the top of the columns, click "Fibre" and all the "Wool" will be sorted together.

I use Paton's Classic Merino a lot. I have also used Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride. That has mohair in it. Other good felting yarns are Cascade 220, Galway, Knit picks wool of the andes. Just to name a few. If you can get to a LYS, they usually have other brands that are 100% wool. If you can't, just do a google search....ebay is another good place to look. I love Germantown by Brunswick yarns, but unfortunatly it is discontinued. I find it every now and again on ebay.
