I got my order on 9/7. wow!!! I got a lot of cotton yarn in nice colors. I order 4 grab bags and it weighed over 6 pounds. What a great deal!!! thanks for telling me about it!!

I just got my order today. No I did not order a grab bag. I ordered some color cards. 6 balls of size 10 grey (yes grey) thread and 6 balls of Mercerized Perle Cotton Size 5, that is on sale and fineally the Rayon Crochet Cable Filament.

I got that in silver. I am very impressed with the Rayon. It is just beautiful and so soft. Anyone looking for a shiny soft thread, this is the kind to get.

Sorry, I did get ahead of myself!! I guess I was thinking that the promise date on my confirmation was 9/7, but I got it on 9/6!!

I would love to order from them, but the shipping to VA is OUTRAGEOUS. The want almost $9 for 2 pounds....

They must just do a flat shipping rate with UPS as I see it is $9 something to a lot of places - shouldn't be that much, but they are probably rolling their packaging costs (boxes, tape, etc.) into it. Not fair, but that is what a lot of companies do. I have ordered this once as I really like what I have seen, but the shipping will probably prevent me from ordering again - can taken some of that and get more stuff at another place.

Yes, shipping was bad here to Kansas...a base of approximately $8 for 2 bags...BUT - it scaled well, and for 10 bags was only $11 shipping. (I refuse to buy yarn if the shipping is very much over 1/3 the cost of the yarn.)

 

So 10 pounds of yarn for $32 isn't bad ($3.2 a pound).

Hey, I have been to places where even if you buy $5.00 worth of stuff, the shipping is $8.95. The shipping is probably high, cause UPS charges more than the post office to ship anything.

 

I do not blame you, cause there are a lot of places I would like to order form, but the shipping stops me.

 

The main problem here is we only have Joann's, Michael's and what is left in Wal-Mart, so we have to almost order everything over the internet.

The best part is NO SALES TAX. This saves me 7% on every order.

It did! But I've been good (even though I did just get paid), and I haven't bought any more. Besides, I still have that big box of yarn in my living room from the last stash I bought!
