Hmm... :thinking1 If you didn't do it then it must have been automatic. Photobucket.com automatically resizes images larger than 250K. That's probably what happened. I will write up some instructions.

Update:

Jordan is starting to feel a lot better. which is really great news - they will be going to dallas soon for her marrow transplant. still a long road ahead of her that will be very rough, but she has made it through the oral chemo (which is so hard on kiddos)---

just wanted to keep you all posted on her condition. you have all been so great --- i should be hearing from her today about her new blanket. i'll post when i do.:fluffy

Was so glad that the little girl can enjoy her gifts. I think that it was the most meaningful thing that I have been involved with also. I think of her all the time, and I'm so glad that she is doing better. Keep us posted on how well she's doing ok!

Do you still need hats for her? I found a pattern that I think she would like. I have made it twice with different size hooks. Still haven't gotten it to come out to 18" (isn't that the measurement you gave?). I'll post pic later today.

well, i've only made her 2 so far.... i'm sure she would enjoy having several!! <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/cheerleader.gif" /> as far as the measurement <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/huh.gif" /> i'd have to go back through the posts... i'll email her dad to see if she has enough hats or not... i'll post as soon as i hear. but really, can you EVER have enough hats <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/tongue.gif" />

Here are the 2 hats I made in the pattern I thought she might like. The Red, White and Blue one I knew would be too small based on the pattern info. I tried a larger hook and it is too big by about 1 ". So I'll donate those to the hat club tomorrow. I'll try a smaller hook and make another purple one.

Any ideas on how to finish off the top tassle? The pattern shows it about 3" long and sticking out. I left them much longer incase somebody has another idea.

Dot,

I love your idea of spirals. Can I do that with the ends I have now...make a chain of each one of them and then turn and attach yarn and do the dc back up to the top of the hat???

OR is there a way to attach the spirals after I make them?

<img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/scratchchin.gif" /> You could probably do it with what you have there now, but I'm thinking they will be fairly short spirals. I did the spirals separate from the hat and attached them later. I think I'd try using the strands you have first though.

I forgot to tell you how much I love your little hat. <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/thumbsup.gif" />
