do you dream about crochet?

I had a dream two nights in a row about crochet. The first dream I had was that my family pulled into our driveway and saw that our house was on fire, so when my hubby wasn't looking I went running inside to rescue my current project and yarn. My husband ran in after me to get me out and I was saying "please just let me get the bag of yarn in the bedroom!"

The next night I dreamed I got pulled over for speeding and I made a deal with the officer that in lieu of a ticket I would crochet him an afghan.

 

Which got me to wondering, does anybody else dream about crochet? If so I would like to hear them!

That IS funny! I have dreamed about crochet, since I do it so much... but I don't remember any specific ones right now.

When I dream about crochet, it's usually because I have a stubborn problem I'm trying to work out. I'll either see the solution or a hopeless tangle of yarn.

That's rich! I love that. But now I wonder why both of your dreams have such danger and urgency.

But with as much money as I have invested in yarn, thread and hooks I would probably run into a burning building.

Whenever I am learning a new skill, especially if I was working on it right before bedtime, I will dream about it. That has gone for both crochet and knitting.

I have a friend who did lose her yarn in a house fire. Let me tell ya....be sure to save those receipts! Her insurance company didn't believe the prices of some of her yarn, so she wasn't properly reimbursed. But the good news is, if you keep the receipts, you would get a whole new stash!

 

I've only dreamt of crochet (or knitting) when I'm on some kind of deadline or struggling with a pattern design. I'm actually surprised I haven't had one recently as I've been trying to write a couple of new patterns and they're giving me a bit of trouble. I don't remember any specific dreams. I believe most are just me working endlessly and waking up tired. lol!

The minute I close my eyes at night, I see all kinds of wonderful patterns and things I want to try....and then the next morning, I do not remember them. But even if I did, I could not possibly try them all, so maybe best I don't remember. When I think about it, that is a pleasant way to drift off to sleep.

When I first started crocheting I had a crazy dream where I was being attacked by balls of yarn! LOL, guess I was stressed over a pattern? Not sure but it was one crazy dream....

If I'm having trouble with a new stitch, or excited about starting a new project (and procrastinating about starting it), I'll dream about crochet.

 

The other day we were driving to the store and we drove by an older housing track (40's-50's) and the outer block walls had this really weird pattern. My first thought? "Hey, that looks like the basketweave stitch"!

 

So I'm not just dreaming about crochet, I see stitches in everyday objects too

Oh my gosh...I can't believe that this is a topic on here...2 nights ago I had a crochet related nightmare!! No joke, I was in this haunted house to get something that my aunt asked me to pick up and on the way out I passed by a lot of cute shrugs hanging over a counter top. So of course I got side tracked and I stopped to look at the shrugs and try and figure out the patterns. Major panic b/c the ghost realized I was there, started coming down the stairs to get me, and I wasn't able to figure out the patterns but had to make a run for it! Woke up in complete panic mode and couldn't shake the feeling of being attacked by the ghost so I woke up the hubby...the dork thought it was funny and said no more looking at new patterns before bed.

I have only had one dream about crochet and it was a finished item. I woke up and immediately drew the item because I have never seen it before. Now I just need to get together with a designer so we can put it together. It would be neat to be published.
