Help dying sun-faded afghan.

I have a very ornate and sentimental afghan that has been sun faded on it's lower portion in such a way that now it is very obviously mis-matched. I've searched the forums about dying yarns but haven't found anything about dying already-made items. I'm looking for advice from the experts here on this site to help me get the afghan all one color again. I like to display the afghan on my bed over a white top sheet so that the contrast really shows the detail of the crochet pattern and I want to make sure that if I dye it, it won't discolor the white sheets underneath. The top 75% is a Red Heart Light Sage while the lower 25% now has a more blue-ish green tint to it from being faded. What color and process do you recommend (if any)?

Thanks so much.
