Look at what I recycled !!

These are a pair of recycled shoes I did for my grandaughter. They had a very thin strap for the toe and they snapped and broke..so...granma came to the rescue....I took them apart....crocheted the front ,back and the straps...put them all together with contact cement( ventilated area please!) and voila!! A new pair of slippers for Kelly....she hasnt seen them yet !!

How great!!! The trouble is, now it gives me a reason to hold onto more broken things instead of tossing them in the trash! DH is going to KILL me if I keep anything else using the excuse "I can crochet something with it/around it/through it/on it/etc.
