i too am looking for a nice skin color. i tried bernat big value in peach but i found it to have a little too much orange in it. i'd love to find one more on the tan side. i saw this on the webs page but don't know if it will work! from what i see, they have a lot that could be good potentials, like # 16, 28 or 305

i don't have the money to try any of them out but if you do please let us know!

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE COOL YARN SITE!!! I WOULD LIKE TO TRY SOME YOU LISTED #304 also, AND SOME OF THE SIRDAR YARNS - the

SNUGGLY DK ones.... they look promising. I have several cones of good

colors I bought off of ebay, a nice seller helped me out with some but

the yarn isn't nice and soft like I want it to be, but beggars can't be choosers all the time!!! I'll let ya know if I use any of these or find any

others! THANKS AGAIN! Peggy

I use Bernat Satin in Camel, e.g.:

It's a light tan but I think it makes a nice flesh colour.

THANKS JUNE! It does make a nice color ... especially for the

dolls I'm going to do... NOT YOUR EVERYDAY AVERAGE DOLLS....

but I'm not telling what YET!!! I so APPRECIATE EVERYONE'S HELP

IN THIS FORUM - YOU LADIES ARE AWESOME!!!!:clap:clap:clap

Sometimes lighter colors like Caucasian-fleshy colors will pick up tones from what they're next to. The perfect color for a doll in a blue dress might not look the same for a doll in a yellow dress.

I actually use my arm as a gauge in the store.

I've used Caron Simply soft in like a cream color - it's really hard to find something. I'd ask KristieMN what she uses for her fairies and mermaids...she seems to have found a good one by the pics!

If you look in the back, the Precious Moments dolls are made with lt. Peach.

I LOVE THE LIGHT PEACH - THANKS FOR THE LINK!!! I'VE HAD A HARD TIME FINDING THIS COLOR. THE DOLLS I AM DOING THOUGH WILL NOT BE THE NORMAL SKIN COLORING... BUT THIS IS PERFECT FOR THESE DOLLS.... I LIKED THIS COLOR BEFORE BUT DIDN'T KNOW THAT HERRSCHNERS SOLD IT. I'll have to check out their other colors too. THANKS AGAIN! :)
