Will wool blended with other fiber felt?

From what I understand, it has to be at least 75% wool to felt, but I have found that even that may be iffy...did you have something special in mind (yarn type, I mean)?

I was thinking Lion Brands Wool Ease...but that is only 20% wool...so I see that would be a no go....

Yeah, that probably wouldnt work very well I have used Lion Wool, Lopi, Cascade 220, Cascade 128 chunky, and I shop at baresheepyarn.com alot...Lopi felts okay (it used to be my fav...I branched out!!), the cascades are great, the lion wool felted fairly well, oh...moda dea cartwheel felts great, and the baresheepyarn is absolutely fabulous (its hand-dyed)...i have tried moda dea cache and wasnt too impressed, but i believe that another member really liked the way it turned out...so, to each her own, i guess..hope that helps!

Wool blends do not felt well. Nor does superwashed wool. Brown Sheep is a great felting wool. Plymouth Galway is also a good choice.
