You did a great job making that hanger. I remember making a macramé hanger out of jute a long time ago now, but that stuff does really tear up your hands.

That's a great idea. Crochet is so versatile. I've never worked with jute, but I can imagine that it would be difficult to crochet with. Looks great!

I have a pattern for one, but haven't found what I want to make it out of yet. Jute is so rough on your hands I'd rather use something else, but what? I have NO CLUE what else you could use?

Very nice! I used to do those a few years ago, I know what you mean about your hands hurting. I did it with square knots.. No hook..

Here's a thought....What about recycling shopping bags to use to make a plant hanger? You think it would work? Survive the elements and hold the weight? I've NEVER crocheted with it...but maybe some of you who have, could answer this for me?
