that's neat. my friend always wears those but I didn't know they had a special name!!

I didn't know they had a special name either....that is why I EXPLAINED what they were in my first post.....LOL:lol ........there really wasn't much of a pattern....I just started with 10 sc and worked about 8 rows ....then I started to increase one stitch at the beginning and end of each row until I had the width I wanted......work the body until you are near the end and then decrease at the beginning and end of each row until you have 10 stitches again......work evenly for 8 rows. You can sew the ends together or close these with buttons, snaps or velcro. I prefer the velcro.......as the piece stretches you can tighten it up! I suppose that elastic would work great too! (note to self!)

It's great for useing up lsft overs......I frogged a shawl and there were A LOT of pieces that were cut to about 16 inches as fringe.....this was made up of the fringe pieces. Couldn't imagine THROWING them away!:eek
