Same patterns as before except for the Bernat stockings (white ones) I decided to fold down the cuffs instead of the way shown in the pattern.

I like those! I've been thinking about making stockings, and using sparkly dark green and maroon yarn, the cuff just makes it perfect, I think!

Here's my first one! Not that I have another one started....

I used the free leaflet from Coats and Clark called "Holly Stocking". I think it looks more like a ski boot!

Oh well - the leaves and berries were fun!

I was at Wal-mart yesterday to buy something and stopped to look for yarn to start a new stocking for my youngest niece. They had absolutely NO Christmas yarn. I was very disappointed. I guess I will have to try the craft stores. I just don't know what is up with Wal-mart these days.

Kari,

I love your stocking! Isn't that pattern quick? I'm making one right now out of chenille and was suprised that they really do work up fast, although I did have to frog my first one because I misread the directions and put the foot at the top. It was a z. :blush

It's a great pattern It took me about 4 or 5 hours of working but not straight work, that was starting and stopping to do housework or corral the boy etc.

I was tickled at how fast it went even using two strands.

I still have some of that grey chenille:brrr .... I am thinking hubby needs one, just have to find the time to squeeze it in somewhere lol:help :faint
